A lot of people don't seem to be affected at all by things going on around them.
You are human. You have emotions. Not everyone is a hard-bred sociopathic egomaniac, and you shouldn't act like it.
As a young CCA unit, you have very real emotions. That means Recruit and up towards of about 03-02 you will be doing your best to avoid having to beat up citizens and deliver punishment, because you are a citizen in a suit. The only reason you signed up for the CCA, is to be on the other end of the stunstick for once and to preserve your family.
Please act like it, and don't run around yelling "Haha" when a citizen dies. Act some emotions and long lasting trauma. When you become 02 and upwards you essentially start developing a sadistic nature and end up with a special version of "Stockholm Syndrome". In order for your mind to keep itself sane and not go bonkers from the violence and hanus acts you commit against mankind, it starts seeing the Combine as being right, and the citizens as being wrong. You will start to feel disgusted by Citizens and other scum of the kind, because to not lose your mind, your brain simply has to rewire itself to rationalize and justify the violence towards fellow humans.
